The Punjab Education Department has issued new school timings for public and private schools in Lahore during the winter season, which are in effect from October 16, 2023, until April 14, 2024. The revised schedules differ for boys’ and girls’ schools.
For boys’ schools, classes will be held from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. Fridays will have a continuous session from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm.
Girls’ schools in Lahore will follow a schedule starting at 8:15 am and ending at 2:15 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, they will conclude at 12:00 pm.
In addition to these regular schools, double-shift schools have been accommodated. The first shift will begin at 7:45 am and finish at 12:15 pm without any breaks from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. The second shift will run from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm, also without breaks.
On Fridays, the second shift in double-shift schools will operate from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
These adjusted school timings aim to account for the changing daylight hours during the winter season, allowing students to attend school comfortably and safely.
