The Sindh government is taking a significant step forward by introducing a diploma in digital marketing in 30 of its government colleges. This groundbreaking decision is set to provide students with a valuable opportunity to gain expertise in the digital marketing field. The diploma program will be available in various cities across the province, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
A five-member committee has been formed to determine the program’s structure, assess its technical aspects, and create the necessary mechanism for its implementation. The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has given its approval for the digital marketing module, further endorsing the program’s importance.
The diploma is designed to be completed in one year, with students attending two-hour classes each day. While it was initially intended for computer science students, it is open to students from other departments as well. This move is expected to create numerous job opportunities for students, enhancing their prospects as they pursue higher education.
Additionally, the College Education Department has initiated an online system for selecting college principals, marking a significant shift in the process of appointing leaders for government colleges in Sindh. This move signifies a broader commitment to improving education and aligning it with the demands of the digital age, setting a positive precedent for the future of education in the province.
