Superior University’s Research Week 2023, held from October 21st to 28th, showcased the institution’s dedication to academic excellence and innovation. Organized by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), the week-long event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. It addressed critical societal issues across disciplines, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The impact of Research Week was substantial, with 2698 participants, 23 collaborative ventures, and contributions from 47 international and 16 national speakers. It featured 150 posters, 77 documentaries, eight panel discussions, and various seminars, workshops, and talk sessions. Three standout conferences highlighted Sustainable Tourism Challenges, Recent Advancements in Medical Imaging, and Engineering and Emerging Technologies, attracting experts and participants globally.

The Research Week extended beyond the main campus, reaching Superior University campuses and collaborators in different regions. A significant highlight was the ‘Research Excellence Awards,’ recognizing academic brilliance and innovation. Led by Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, the event emphasized academia-industry collaborations and the university’s commitment to addressing national and global challenges. In essence, Research Week 2023 celebrated achievements, fostered new partnerships, and underscored the pivotal role of research in higher education for sustainable development.
