Shell Pakistan Limited recently hosted the 10th Tameer Awards 2023 at Shell House, an event dedicated to recognizing and supporting the brightest young entrepreneurs in Pakistan. This year, over 400 applications were submitted for the awards, resulting in 30 finalists shortlisted across six award categories.
The event drew a diverse audience, including business leaders, industry professionals, and academics. Finalists had the opportunity to present their innovative ideas to a panel of experts who then selected the winners and runners-up in each category.
The awards ceremony also featured a panel of prominent leaders who engaged in discussions on innovation and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of fostering growth in the startup ecosystem.

The grand winners of the 10th Tameer Awards 2023 included entrepreneurs like Nayab Raza, who developed a microalgae-based biofertilizer, and Mehreen Raza, who created a biodegradable, herbal-treated sanitary product. These innovations aim to address issues like food security, energy crises, and climate change while empowering women and reducing environmental harm.
The runners-up also showcased remarkable ideas in categories such as Circular Economy, Empowering Women, Transport & Mobility, Technology Innovation, Clean Energy Solutions, and Bright Ideas.
Since its inception, Shell Tameer has played a pivotal role in strengthening local economies by promoting entrepreneurship. It has engaged a million youth and supported entrepreneurs in expanding their markets globally, further reinforcing the spirit of innovation in Pakistan.
