Confiz, an IT company, has taken a commendable step towards bridging the digital divide by donating ten laptops to Swiss Model High School in Lahore, as part of the Swiss Education Project Pakistan (SEPP). This marks their second consecutive donation, with a previous initiative benefiting the Government College for Women in Data Nagar. The laptops aim to empower students by enhancing their computer literacy skills, opening doors to academic and professional growth opportunities.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee volunteers from Confiz played a crucial role in facilitating this initiative, fostering overwhelming support from the school’s administration. During the donation visit, the team engaged with students and teachers, sharing insights into their professional journeys and emphasizing the pivotal role of technology in today’s workforce.
Confiz’s commitment to promoting computer literacy aligns with the mission of SEPP, founded in 1997, to provide education and break the cycle of poverty. The laptops not only enrich the classroom experience at Swiss Model High School but also extend access to online learning, promoting inclusivity in education.
Amna Arooj, a key figure in driving this initiative, expressed joy in contributing to shaping a brighter future through education and technology. The school’s principal, Mrs. Usbah Ali, extended gratitude for Confiz’s generous donation, highlighting its impact on advancing education.
Confiz’s CSR efforts serve as a positive example of IT companies actively promoting computer literacy, empowering young minds, and making a meaningful impact on global youth. The hope is that more companies follow in Confiz’s footsteps to foster positive change through access to technology and education.
