In a recent ranking of government schools across Punjab, Lahore, one of the province’s 36 districts, secured the 29th position, shedding light on concerns regarding the performance of both teachers and students in government schools. The rankings take into account various factors, including teacher and student attendance, to assess the quality of arrangements and facilities in these schools.
Interestingly, Dera Ghazi Khan, Attock, and Nankana Sahib emerged as the top-ranking districts in Punjab, showcasing excellence in their education system. In contrast, Lahore’s position at 29th raises questions about the overall quality of education in the city.
The assessment doesn’t stop at academic aspects but also extends to various elements of the school environment, such as the condition of walls, washrooms, water supply, and furniture, providing a comprehensive picture of each school’s state.
