The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Pakistan is taking strict measures to ensure the integrity of the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) examination scheduled for November 26. This decision comes in the wake of a cheating scandal earlier this year involving students using Bluetooth devices.
To combat cheating, the caretaker provincial government is suspending mobile tower services near the exam centers during the test hours. This move aims to prevent any unauthorized communication during the examination.
The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in securing the test. The KP Police, along with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), is working diligently to ensure a fair and transparent examination process. Peshawar Police has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the printing and handling of test materials.
To enhance security, walk-through gates and CCTV cameras will be installed at the exam centers across the province. Female police officers will also be deployed to further bolster security measures.

In an effort to make the test more accessible to students, exam centers have been established in 11 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, DI Khan, Kohat, Mardan, Lower Dir, Swat, and Abbottabad.
To maintain impartiality, Khyber Medical University has decided that duty staff for the exam will not include administrative officials from various departments. These comprehensive measures are being put in place to ensure a fair and cheat-free MDCAT examination and to prevent any repeat of the cheating incidents that occurred earlier this year.
